The publishing of an on-line version
of the History of St Kilda 1840 -1930 has long been a cherished
dream of the St Kilda Historical Society. This milestone project
enables free and efficient access to the only comprehensive written
record of St Kilda’s early history. Equally important are the 119
outstanding photos and illustrations. The general reader,
historian, student, researcher and journalist will reap the
benefits of this collaborative work completed with support from
Society members, the Victorian Government’s community support fund,
